never want 30+ year tenured HCs. Beamer probably deserves to get canned but won't since he's a VT legend. Bowden and Paterno were disasters in their later years.

With Beamer and Bowden both, they were the type of Old Timers that didn't like change or adapting to new things. Dabo on the other hand, I see him changing with the times and staying with the curve of what's needed to continue winning. IMO I don't ever see him as being like a Beamer or Bowden, that's for sure....

This speaks more to how often coaches get fired in the win now culture of college football than anything else.

Better Record Perc in ACC than Overall?

I wonder how many coaches do better in their conference than out of conference? Perhaps it's just because we play more OOC games against SEC teams than cupcakes, compared to other programs. I'm not sure I've ever seen a coach with a higher winning percentage in conference than overall.
