3rd or 4th in the nation. I feel comfortable with our defense playing Bama, but offensively could we muster enough points to beat them?

I think with a healthy Watson, Dye, Guillermo, Peake, and Leggett along with Mike Williams, Scott, Gallman, and our studs on defense we could win the game 27-21. Dye could help a lot by establishing the run and opening up vertical passes. We have very good receivers in Williams, Hopper, Scott, and Peake. I would feel good especially if Alexander and Peters could have a great game along with Robert Smith and Kearse locking down the deep passes. We have solid backups in Tankersley, Green, Jenkins, Wiggins, etc. I know we throw around the phrase "we too deep", but I see Clemson football getting very close to having Alabama type depth. We just have to keep adding to what we already have.

Saban doesn't exactly enjoy playing HUNH teams. We would probably be the first one he ever faced that had a top 10 defense to match.

If Alexander can shut down Cooper, they will not come anywhere near 21 points. Teams have already proven if you shut down Cooper, Bama's offense struggles.

We really don't know what our potential is, IMO. I think that a team with a healthy Dye, Watson at QB and the others back from injury (that are expected to return this season) will be a formidable opponent for anybody, including AL. Ask LSU if we can play.

I wouldn't bet the farm that they won't, but I certainly wouldn't bet against us against them in a bowl match up, either. I think with healthy players all the way around and a QB like Watson, we will be a very different team from what we have seen so far.

Realistically, I think if we win out with players coming back from injuries,winning against GT and USUC by a wide margin we could be ranked around 10th. As it stands now with our current offensive output I would see us finishing around 14th or 15 if we win out .

I would expect the same reaction from them this year, too, though. To them, anything less that a NC Game is beneath their dignity. I hope we beat the brakes off of them or whoever we play.
