Congrats to Smith. Noticed him playing hard all night. Tough to see when your safety is the only guy all night who squares up with Gurley and makes a form tackle in the hole.

He was the first guy to touch Chubb diving on at his knees. He got up and was only 3 yards behind him when he crossed the goaline. We need more like him.

You should not have any players of the game when you lose.

Of this is a team sport then we should be all team or nothing. In wins we can point out good.. in loses is best to not pat people and say good job when all could do better.

And those 4 special teams tackles would have been nice if one was used on a certain kick off.

How does Smith get POG when you look at his play on the toss and sweeps that Gurley and Chubb and Michel just obliterate us? He was in position to make plays and didn't. A ton of bad angles and missed tackles for three straight years on the part of Smith. Not sure I understand this other than a chance to build confidence in him.

I thought Smith played good

It seemed he was the only DB that wasnt afraid to square up with Gurley. He even delivered a few good pops on Gurley that knocked him back. Yes he made mistakes but overall he played well

LBs should be the ones making plays on those toss sweeps.
