possibly 6 they will keep on the 53. He is solidly on the roster--- as indicated this just may mean he goes IR for a few weeks

There is an exception that each team is allowed to take exactly one player off of IR a season and add him back to the active roster, but that's not until after week 8. If Bryant is placed on IR, he will miss at least the first 8 weeks, and possibly the entire season.

wk requirement. In any case, the Steelers will figure out something to do with him so they don't lose him. If he was battling for the final receiver spot that would be different but from the projections I had been seeing/heard, that is not the case.
