Watson injury shows fine line coaches walk in practice

Going “live” during practice and scrimmage situations has both its advantages and its drawbacks, something the Clemson football team found out late Monday. Full Story »

I've been wrong two times, but this isn't one of them.

Collarbones can heal funny no need to rush him.***

A QB will take a lot of hits in games where the risk is even greater. The collarbone doesn't know if it was hit in practice or a game. At least in the spring you have enough time to heal before the season.

The results of not having live practices are the same soft A$S teams that all of us b!tched, pissed and moaned about in the past. Keep it going, and the next man up!!!

IMO, I think that with a live practice a couple of times a week will prepare your entire team of what to expect on Saturday, and it will surely toughen them up. Also IMO, I believe that has been the difference maker in our wins that we were suppose to win, and in the games that most said we wouldn't win. We were tough enough to finish the games down the stretch. And there is no doubt that Dabo has put a staff together that knows what it takes to be a consistent winner that can win the BIG games. When I look at today's Clemson FB, I see a more talented, better coached Clemson team than we have seen in the past 20 years.

(See: Maryland, last season).

I really dont have a problem with it. No way you are really prepared for a game if you arent tackling some in practice.
Heck we lost Tony McNeal and Chad Kelly to ACL injuries WITHOUT live contact so not a big change.

Well attrition is one way to settle the QB battle***
