Unless you can train our players to sign their names about 10x faster than Johnny Football, or you can figure out a way to clone them, then it doesn't matter how well-planned the event was. If there are 20,000 people waiting in line to get an autograph from about 20 people, there are going to be a lot of people that don't get autographs. Fan Appreciation Day cannot last 10 hours. It's called logistics.

and had the players split up by personnel groupings... wr, ol, dl, kickers, etc

That's also how Bama does it, except in the stadium.
