The whole thing lost me when they said Winston gets number 5

Jun 6, 2013, 7:46 AM

because of the way he handles his schedule. Give me a break. Every freshman, athlete or not, has to learn that one.

Tiger/Terrier

They lost me with Logan Thomas at #4

Jun 6, 2013, 8:43 AM

is it safe to say he may go down as the most overrated QB to ever play in the ACC? If NFL scouts think this guy has all the tools, then my son is going to be a #1 pick in 2028, because at age 7 he plays better QB in pee-wee ball than Logan does on Saturdays.

This...he's like a dumb Jamarcus Russell***

1. Tajh Boyd
2. Brynn Renner
3. Stephen Morris
4. CJ Brown
5. Chase Rettig

what has CJ Brown done?

Jun 6, 2013, 1:35 PM

I'd have Rettig at #4, then maybe Tom Savage from Pitt at #5. He started for Rutgers a couple years ago and led them to a 9-4 record with 14 TDs and 7 ints. Pitt's top two QBs were rated a 5.9 4-star by Rivals, so they're pretty talented there. I also don't think Logan Thomas is quite as awful as other people here think. If he was surrounded by much talent, he'd look a lot better.

he did good up until he tore his ACL. do we need to go back to his game against us?

If Logan Thomas is #4 in the ACC....

Jun 6, 2013, 9:06 AM

and based on his play last year, the ACC is in trouble.

I'm basing it on last season...he SUCKS!

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Logan Thomas isn't great, but i can't think of

Jun 6, 2013, 12:31 PM

many legit QBs in the ACC now that Manuel and Glennon are gone.

I haven't watched the video yet, but i would have Boyd, Rettig, and Renner as the top 3 (probably in that order), but after that it's pretty much a crap shoot. I don't see why Thomas can't be 4th.

And OMG is there a huge gap b/t Tajh and everyone else...

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Hmm i forgot about Morris. I would have him ahead of Thomas

Jun 6, 2013, 12:34 PM

up there with Rettig and Renner. LT probably #5.

After watching, i have more of a problem with Rettig getting left out of the top 5 than i do with LT being included.

Tajh looks 40 in that picture.***

On the same episode...I thought it was funny when the

announcer was talking about the SEC and referred to it as the best "on-the-field" conference. It was almost like he threw that in so no one would confuse the athletic achievement with the academic achievement.

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I think you misunderstood what he was saying, Gordon Gee...

Jun 6, 2013, 2:03 PM

If you watched the whole piece he meant that the SEC had been walking the walk, while other conferences (Big Ten and FSU primarily) looked good on paper, but failed when it came time to actually produce.

Is he also "Tall"? Lol

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

did you notice they said "#5 QB in the SEC"

Jun 6, 2013, 1:40 PM

after talking about Winston. The SEC is so much in their heads its pathetic.

"With Logan Thomas, the NFL scouts like how he throws the football"

When I heard him say that, all I could see in my head was 3rd and short with a wide open receiver and Thomas throws it in the dirt 5 yards away from the guy. I saw LT do that over and over last season.

Or when he dropped back and fired it 15 feet over his receivers head and into the open arms of Jonathan Meeks who returned it for a pick 6.
