Great story on a kid getting rewarded for his own merit. He did not need RN to get a offer.

I had hoped something like that was going on - a secret offer.

Welcome Ryan. We are better having you in the school and on the team.

Enjoy your college years and work hard in the classroom and on the ball field, then only the sky will be the limit.

His film is really impressive.

Got some pop to him and a sure tackler.

Gonna be an interesting one to follow over next few years.

They don't rate character and integrity. if they did RN would be a3star.

Surely you're joking! This guy is not even a D1A player

Feb 8, 2013, 12:04 PM [ in reply to how is he not a 4* ]

he needs to be in D1AA. This was a serious reach.

You the same guy that said that about Michael Palmer, Tyler Grisham, Adam Humphries etc., etc., etc.?

Probably.

From Carter's high light film, IMO I think that ESECPN is the only sports reporters that actually watched him play. To me he is surely a 3* player. It looked like some of the tackles he made at the line should have been made by super man.;)

Welcome Ryan Carter. You are going to love Clemson!

Feb 8, 2013, 8:03 AM

Glad to have this player. He will be a huge asset to the team. Both him and Gallman were overshadowed by the RN. you can be for certain that both these players got this one on their own merit....proud of them!

Whoa Nelly! Excellent field vision. Hard nosed put your head down, wrap 'em up tackler. Watch his film and dream about him in our secondary!

As I watched the highlights I noticed 2 things. This young man will deliver the vicious licks when he gets the chance and does his job very well. The other thing is that in many (almost all) of these highlights RN didn't do squat. Just sayin'!

Posted this 2 days ago. It was obvious from Dabo's presser.

Feb 8, 2013, 11:34 AM

I'm so happy he is our coach!

Our Coach, Dabo Swinney

Feb 8, 2013, 10:44 PM

is a person of high integrity. He sees something in young Carter that others don't. It would have been easy to leak this in hopes of roping in RN. I'm thankful he didn't. RN will be a star at his mother's choice of schools, but not like he would've at Clemson.

Welcome to the Family Mr. Carter.
