Just Curious......(Bellamy)

why don't we just run some plays for him where the QB just turns and pitches the ball to him allowing him to get to the corner.
Mike Bellmay.

So... no observation of Morgan Roberts?

Apr 15, 2012, 11:58 AM

Why is there no discussion of Morgan Roberts considering he was the best looking QB out there yesterday?

Good question...***

A lot of people look like good QBs

Throwing to Sammy Watkins, Charone Peake, Martavis Bryant, and Brandon Ford.

It is good to see we have some quality depth at QB though.

he played well... but has absolutely no zip on his throws.

Touchdowns thrown without zip are better than

interceptions with zip.

way easier to jump a route and get a pick if the ball is moving slower

I mean this to be constructive. The spring game was very good, no motion penalties, no off sides, only two penalties in the first half. great receiving and great defense. tackling was especially good , even cb's were tackling. However, running the football is a MIND SET as well as blocking. 3rd down and goal on the 3, run the ball for two remaining downs. Ball on the half yardline and some sort of hockey play was run that lost four yards. RUN THE BALL. Once players understand that the ball is going to be run, they take on a better attitude; offensive lineman will develop the MIND SET, but the have to be given the opportunity.

Preach it. We may never see that mindset again here. Coots figured it out. We should!
