But, that had absolutely NOTHING to do with Bowers ability to play UP TO NFL standards. Look for him to be a Pro bowler in a year or two....

Knee LONGEVITY concerns caused his low draft, NOT abilitty.

NFL teams were reportedly worried that Da'Quan's degenerating knee wouldn't last many years, and so it wasn't worth investing an early draft pick in a guy who might not be on the team very long. The NFL was not worried about the near-term performance of the unanimous All-American, ACC DPOY, Nagurski and Hendricks awards winner. The chapter on whether he proved the NFL "wrong" will be written about 4-5 years from now. I hope that he has a long, strong, healthy career, and a healthy retirement.
