My congratulations to DA for an outstanding year. His outstanding play certainly made a huge difference in the team's success. It is wonderful to see a young man dedicate himself and have such an outstanding year.

On another note, it seemed to me that the Mackey Award was not given the same level of recognition as some of the other individual awards. Unlike some of the other individual awards, the TV video on ESPN was short and did not include DA going on stage to receive the award with "Tiger Rag" playing in the background. Dabo was not shown in the audience unlike in some of the other individual awards. It seemed to me that this award was grouped with other individual awards to be a "time filler" for the program. Is the award for the best tight end in the nation not equal to the best wide receiver?

In the "formal" presentation the announcer told DA to "pick it up" because you have won it which is not a "presentation" in my view. The audio on the "formal" award ceremony was terrible. Much, much more should have been done by Clemson University and CTSN to get a better quality video of the whole affair.

Regardless, congratulations DA for such a great year. Hope we see you back next year!
