That IS a beautiful view!! Maybe we need to mow some trees down so they can see Hartwell. Ha!
But the view won't matter as much when the wind is blowing in from the lake in ice cold November.

"When the Gales of November come early"
Yeah, I know it's the wrong lake but it still applies.

It's a beautiful facility but considering the average temperature during the school year and football season it's bound to turn southern kids away.

facilities. $260 million is an incredible sum of money and the facility looks incredible. One thing I did notice is that the facility is for all 19 sports at Northwestern, not only football. Obviously it's heavily weighted to football facilities. Extremely nice.

Yeah, it probably looks good now but in the winter it's going to be a dumpster fire. It gets cold in Illinois in the winter.

This is the same school that players went on strike because of the facilities and mistreatment right?

Beautiful view in the summer, but I bet there's a bitter breeze off that water in the fall/winter... I'll clap when I see the rest of the indoor facilities

Truly incredible. Chicago is such a beautiful city and these facilities do not disappoint.
But hopefully they have a place to practice indoors. "The windy city" is not exaggerated even a little bit and October-March there is going to be absolutely bitter cold with the wind coming off the lake.

That is a school with a level comparison in historical football fortunes with that conversation piece from Columbia .

school. I have to wonder about that because the return on investment (ROI) would not appear to support such a facility.

Dug, that's a pretty huge insult to the guys in Evanston. They've had much more success on the football field and certainly off of it.

have fun practicing out there in November, the wind whipping across the lake onto the practice fields has to be extra special.

Think once the lake freezes over they'll have that much more room to practice. Like their own Jarvey Meadows... ??

For all concerned with the temps..did anyone expect it to not have an indoor field?
