I was more worried....

.....about someone having a heat stroke than I was the money. Actually, to be honest I didn't even realize they raised money for this event. I knew you had to pay, but wasn't sure what it went towards. I will admit, I just read the headlines, but how much of this thing was held outdoors, besides the running down the hill? If a lot of time was spent outside, they may want to consider moving this thing to late May/early June.

Everything was indoors except for walking from Littlejohn to West End zone a couple of times. $15 of the cost for the clinic goes towards the foundation, plus monies received from the auction. It means a lot to the Swinney's.

Having it when we do gives us the opportunity to meet some of the incoming freshman along with players in summer school. The rest start reporting within the next couple of weeks. Coach says it is sort of a kickoff event for the football season.

Carolina changed theirs to the spring and they did not have as many as we did. Too many people have spring break during April and May is very cruical for the coaches.

Thanks for the info. I knew a couple of girls that went to Carolina's, and wondered why they had theirs so much earlier than ours. Good that's it's mainly indoors as well. The only bad part about "those hills" in Clemson is walking up and down them in the hot weather. My freshman orientation was the only time I remember ever developing a heat rash. :)
