Mike Winiecki is one of the best post player coaches in the country. I expect Grant, Devin, Johnson, Bobo, and hopefully Thornton will really thrive under him.

How did Wight State manage to play 129 games in three years? 84 and 45. Thats 43 games a year. Maybe I read something wrong.

Exact quote from article .....in the past three years with the Raiders program, Winiecki helped the Raiders to an 84 - 45 record. I didn't write the article, I just questioned the number of games played in three years.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Bobo get meaningful

minutes next season. Not saying he wouldn't have been developed to that point under OP's staff, but the style of play will be so different that he will fit better anyway. Plus Winiecki's apparent ability may mean that Bobo blossoms. Wouldn't it be awesome?

The definition of awesome!

This is the most important hire BB could make now because

Clemson has not had a coach in the last 10 years or so that knew how to work with a post player. None of them knew even a basic drop-step move. Poor hands & terrible passing out of the block was an issue too. If Brownell runs what he preaches, we should see more high post offense which will lead to screen-n-rolls, backdoor cuts, ball screens and 12 foot shots instead of depending on a fastbreak or rebound putback dunk as our only offense from the post players.

It will be an all new Tiger team that takes the court next November. And the old one wasn't bad! Go Brown L.

TBooker had most assists of any big man in CU history

I think. That would go against your theory.

Nobody on OP's staff taught Book HOW to pass from the post

Apr 22, 2010, 8:07 PM

they just recognized that he could and tried to build around it.
HCBB runs a completely different offense and as good as Book was - he would have been even better in a BB offense.
