I think it's weak that a recruit would switch from us to the Limpcocks. I mean, surely you've got other options?. At least with Clemson the book is wide open. With USC you know what you're going to get, and it ain't that great.

Good lineman are desperately needed

Oct 22, 2008, 1:59 PM

let the coveted skill players go where they may. We need monster lineman like Alabama has and like we used to have. Thats the reason why we are in this predicament now.

A coach from a Southern Conference school told me that Kay did not even make their board. They rated him no better than a fall back recruit. And that is for a Division 1AA school. Not sure how he cuts it in D1A

Dude, they just stated that ESPN has him rated as the 15th best OL.

This class of recruits

Will Be Rewarded;

I would be very surprised if the high schoolers that sign with Clemson this year and the next few will not be rewarded. I'm confident that Clemson will find a new coach that will be successful but more importantly, attending a fine Academic and Social school like Clemson is rewarding in and of itself irregardless of what happens on the football field. I thought the Ben Axons of the world realized that but apparently there is some wavering. If they knew the true Clemson, coaching changes would make little difference.

I agree but would add that they are still kids and you know

Oct 23, 2008, 1:31 PM

the rivals are out there negative recruiting us as hard as they can to try and get those kids away. As I type this my mind wanders to the comments a couple years ago by Rodney Paulk. I'd love to see that billboard again. Maybe some can post it?

I sure hope he gets plenty of pancake blocks and knockdown blocks since they are in short supply right now-hopefully he will help our offensive line impose THEIR will in the near future. GO TIGERS!!!
