1 o'clock might be tradition, but the day sets up so much better for a 3:30 kickoff. 1 meal instead of two, lunch at it's normal time, leisurely pace...
Give me the 3:30 kickoff, any saturday.

they are absolute hell for people who live anywhere east of 95. You are guaranteeing terrible attendance for a game like that if you put it at 3:30. Nobody in Charleston, Hilton Head, Myrtle Beach etc is going to get home at 1:00am on Sunday for that game.

trying to make a 1:00 game when Clemson is 8,9... 12 hours away is a b####; you have to take Friday off or try and drive all night. For some of us, getting a Friday off is no small deal. When i gotta stay in a hotel or at a friend's/relative's house, a Saturday stay is much better. A later start means that i can leave Friday night or Saturday morning and drive home Sunday w/o having to take time off from work.
