start out unranked, slip into the top 20, and gradually work your way up until you FINISH at number one. Higher rankings mean bigger bulls-eyes and potentially bigger heads. I don't care how high we end up getting ranked as long as we finish at our highest point. In that sense, it's kinda good not to have a lot of respect. Maybe we can catch some of the big dogs at not quite 100%.

Not true. Rankings help determine our bracket in the tournament. The higher the rank the better the bracket...usually...sort of...in a way.

Better to gain respect over time than to have it for a moment and loose it. It's harder to gain back that way.
