We need to pull a "Georgia Tech"

2 weeks ago, GT came into DV and got their a## kicked up and down the field. No excuses, they got beat. But, they came back home on saturday, and stood their ground, beating Miami in a game that was not as close as the scoreboard said. They are a good team, and thats what good teams do. Now we are in the same situation. How can you be a player and not come to play saturday? Hope they do, because no one beats us when we played like we did against GT. Just some thoughts, bored at work.....

I noticed the same thing about W Perry however I never knew

that Mike Hold being a poor sport was a moment of pride for the chickens. Add that to the Mullet's baseball swing and autograph. Seems like a trend.
I remember where I was sitting when we got called for 12 men on the field but I don't recall why I was on the opposite side from my season tickets.
Wasn't W Perry the 12th man that did not get off in time?

Good Read. Could someone post a link to that 1984 video?

I can't find it on youtube
In a non-football non-Clemson comment, didn't Google buy Youtube recently? I hope that they can fix Youtube's search capabilities, because I'm having difficulty finding the things I'm interested in.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FD77AN7fiAk Only the last few seconds show Perry picking up the ball. The video is a compilation put together by a Gamecocks fan it's kinda funny that the video is labeled "Clemson Sucks" and they highlight it with a showing of real unsportsmanlike conduct on their part.

Well I don't care if TB says it or not but we got out coached last thursday night.
Some of you can stay in denial all you want but that loss came from the players not making plays and some bad play calling and preperation.

We may have been "out coached" but apparently you weren't really reading the article. We got beat, but, no, that's not all there is to it. Try doing half of what our boys on the O-lime and especially the D-line did to GT and then see if you can even get up and walk in the morning. No disrespect but come on!!

Good article to try to put thing in perspective and realize the season is a LONG way from over for Clemson. However, I think it needs to be said that the reason Mike Hold dropped the ball at the feet of Perry was because the week before, in the BWI airport, Perry was taunting Hold and several other USC players. Clemson had just lost at Maryland and USC had just lost at Navy, depriving USC of a chance at a #1 ranking. The two teams were flying out of the airport at the same time and their paths crossed and Perry began flashing the national championship ring and saying how that was as close as Hold was going to get to one. So, at the game, Hold got a measure of revenge for that taunting. I have actually talked to both Perry and Hold about this (I used to work in the Columbia airport and saw them many times flying out) and both laugh about the event. In fact, Perry thinks the poster is hilarious. Truthfully, according to them both, there was no maliciousness about it. Perry took some jabs in the BWI airport and Hold took some jabs during the game.
Just thought I'd add some insight since I have talked to both about the event.
