If the construction wasn't going on, what would attendance

have been if Tamu, semiholes, & miami were sell outs (under the old layout)??

I think 9th best is very disappointing considering the schedule - - it will be hard to beat the line up we had at home this year . . .

there was a cap

Dec 19, 2005, 5:58 PM

on what we could legally report. We had a lower capacity due to the fire marshall taking it down because we had less exits/entrances...

True, the fire marshal put a cap on the stadium attendance after the single game record setting Bowden Bowl a couple years back (maybe the first one?). We have put up great numbers in the past couple of years seeing as the max attendance was lowered on us....

Re: Attendance Figures bring questions about future

Dec 20, 2005, 8:55 AM

These maybe the official numbers inside the stadium but what about outside the stadium. Anyone else seeing a significant increase in tailgaters never going in the game and hanging out around the TV and the Motorhome. Maybe 80,000 in the house but looks like 120 in town on the big game days. One thing is a given as the years roll on 2 things become harder and harder to get: tickets to big games and parking spots on game day. I can se a day in the not to distant future that all non-numbered parks will have to be in place 4 hours before the game or not allowed in to help the traffic. Motor homes seem destined for a park and ride program. Will the contributions of the Tiger cubs of the 80's and 90's and continued IPTAY giving help to secure seats for them in 2010 and beyond?
