4 year average for players who entered college 1995-1998. Is this the most current info they have?

Posted today on the NCAA site. Clemson vs SCU

The GSR numbers don't count academically eligible players that leave or transfer. The FED rates do.

Clemson SCU
Football 94% 66%
Basketball 75% 62%
Baseball 100% 69%

This is a direct reflection on Tommy Bowden. Great job!

Makes me proud to say I'm a Tiger! Outstanding job of recruiting quality student athlete's. Obviously a great job by the players too. Its tough to concentrate on school and football too.

I'd be willing to bet that this HELPS recruiting

Parents will push their kids to a program that can offer scholastic as well as athletic opportunities.

This is not only a testement to Tommy and his crew, but Vickery Hall as well - a unique program that has become a model for other universities, they're barely starting to catch up.

Kudos to the players and coaches, but...

http://web1.ncaa.org/app_data/gsr2005/147.pdf

Our Fed rate is 49%...6 points lower than the Div I-A average. We have one of the largest differences between GSR and Fed rates of any school (see BC, Penn St, Notre Dame, TCU, VT, etc). I don't want to take anything away from the obvious great work Tommy has done in getting our players to be successful both on the field and in the classroom, but seems like this new rating system is just a way for the NCAA to cook the books and make the numbers look better. Plus the data is from the mid to late 90's. How is that an accurate reflection?

Again, not taking anything away from the accomplishments of our players (who I am very proud of), but I think we still have a lot of work ahead of us.
