this is great. the first two guys to get this opportunity are both Clemson grads and personal favorite players of mine. so proud of them.

This is quietly a big loss for Clemson football

I think TA was a huge influence in the development of Wayne Gallman the past two seasons. I'm happy he got a chance to get a ring and his degree. One of my all-time favorite Tigers. I'm sure Dabo will find another guy to assist Elliot as running backs coach. Best of luck Terry!

yep but his deal was to get a degree and move on. we'll find a way anyhow. TA was going to move on coaching wise when he graduated so I'm sure there is a plan for that

I agree that he was a great resource for our young backs, and his moving on will be felt, but hopefully some of what he brought has rubed off. Say what you want about or coaches, but how many of them were NFL RBs? Hmm, maybe we can get Flagler back! Or Kevin Mack. I'm thinking he could help Feaster learn a bit about some 'tween the tackles action! Dude was a beast.

You're right. I met him in Oct. of 2015 through a service we provided for him and his wife at their home in Clemson. Allen was as nice of man, and humble. I saw the picture on the wall someone painted of him. We talked a little about his time playing in the NFL. Then we talked about Gallman. He told me that he was teaching Gallman how to " run more violently and more aggressive ". I told him that was interesting and that I had noticed a difference in the carries Gallman was getting.
What was said by Gallman by commentators on TV, that he runs " violently through the gaps ". I hope Gallman has a good career also. Gallman was a banger in college, hopefully he will transition that into the NFL. I would say all in part of Allen's training days with him.
Little did I know, that Gallman would set the school record that year, thanks to Terry Allen's help.
He will be missed. Best of luck to Allen and his family.

Tiger career. He was a huge threat each and every time he touched the ball
I'm sure he has an incredible amount of wisdom to impart to any running back smart enough to pay attention.

For some reason, I was thinking that Terry Allen played on the 81 NCG team, but that was Terry Kinard. When getting old, I think that the memory is one of the most important thing to go. Who if any of the 1981 players that work with today's Clemson FB, that now has two Clemson FB NC rings?

And getting us a great win there. Saw it live from end zone with CU Soph Son and we yelled so hard in 1st half that our lungs were sore!
