Very Excited

Dec 2, 2005, 2:25 PM

This is really a win-win scenario for us all. Thank goodness Charlie will be putting the injury behind him and solidifying his draft position. At the same time, we will still get to see him suit up for our Tigers one more time! Considering that we thought this would be an either-or situation before, I'm pleased to see it come out this way. I'm optimistic about Charlie going out on a great note and making a smooth transition to the pros. I'll be a fan of whomever he plays for. That includes Clemson one more time!

Plus, he'll actually have relief from the pain for the first

Dec 2, 2005, 2:40 PM

time since Boston College. I'm sure many of us have had shoulder injuries and the pain is hard to function with. Give him credit for practicing and playing games with it, even if he did have shots before the games.

One of those admirable "competitor" traits

Dec 2, 2005, 2:44 PM

Could have said "screw this . . . I'm sittin' out until I'm out of pain." Particularly for someone looking to the next level, Charlie took a risk in playing through it. Really, he's still likely taking a risk playing in the bowl, but I have to respect it and as I mentioned I'm excited about it. Pretty clear evidence he loves the team and wants to compete.

Go Charlie and Go Tigers!
