Final visit sets the tone for Cervenka
The official visits for the 2015 recruiting class are out of the way, and Gage Cervenka says he’s ready to get to Clemson and get started on his collegiate career. What does he say about the visit? What stood out? What did he think about Deon Cain and Ray Ray McCloud? Full Story » |

I like this guy a lot. He needs to develop, but the best part, is he understands that and he's ready to put in the work. Plus, adding Wilkins means you can most likely redshirt Gage and Johnson. Both guys are terrific prospects, but they'll need a year or two.

Thank goodness we've been getting a few more recruits from The Emerald City. Carolina was getting most of them in the past. I've never understood that. I'm a GHS grad and attended Lander.

We get the kids from Greenwood that are able to

qualify. The kids SCAR gets are unable to get in Clemson due to grades or are not respectable kids and CDS thinks that they would not excel at Clemson. Here are few off the top of my head, Gaines Adams, Jad Dean, Larry Ryans(James Trapp's roommate) Ronald Williams and there are a bunch more that are good good kids. Now look at the kids SCAR got dj swearinger, K C Quarles and they are great players but I am not sure if they would have completed their time at Clemson. Demarcus Harrison great kid great family and so on. Nothing wrong with those kids but they did not fit the Clemson mold and they were successful at SCAR.

My Sisters Family are from Greenwood, they went to private school. I always ask my nephew who substituted teaching when he could during the summers about the recruiting but he never cleared it up for me. Thanks for the post. The less thans grades wise(not in capability) went to the coots because they couldn't get into Clemson. Seems like Florida State got a good player out of GWD a few years back too.

2nd grade. Lifelong Tiger here that remembers the great 80's era but seeing it equaled if not surpassed right now so it is a special time being a Tiger fan. Add in the fact that my bud's son will be on this roster- crazy. His parents, Scott and Dottie, are good hard-working folks and it shows with Gage. He is a class act. Very proud and happy for them too.

Did we demote him? He's listed as a 4 star in our ESPN rating and the article only gives him 3 stars.
