New Story: Deon Cain "500 percent" committed after Clemson visit

Deon Cain "500 percent" committed after Clemson visit

Four-star wide receiver prospect Deon Cain was on Clemson's campus this past weekend, the first time he has watched a Clemson game in person Death Valley. What does he say about the visit? What does he say about Deshaun Watson? Full Story »

Yes sir... Our WR core is going to be sick the next year and the years after but just next year imagine the weapons at DW's disposal - Williams, Peake, Hopper, Scott, Kitt, Thompson, Cain, and McCloud. Wow! 3 5* guys in Peake, Cain, and McCloud, and then 5 4* guys. Best WR core in the country next year, undoubtedly. Hopefully add a healthy Dye and Brooks back to the mix w experienced Gallman and Choice for a viable rushing attack too.

You for got to mention one of next year prime target 6'3 190+pd with a 4.5 forty 2015 commit (S. Bell). This receiver is beast with blazing speed. Just another weapon for D. Watson. This kid is one of biggest and faster of the big receivers we will have next year.

I thought McCloud III was recruited as a RB? Regardless our WR corp has the potential to be unreal the next couple years. Hopefully Leggett can be that player everyone thought he could be. Gotta hold on to these players and make sure they sign before UF flips em.

What receiver wouldn't want Deshaun Watson throwing to them?

I don't understand the point about his relationship with Ray

Oct 6, 2014, 7:50 AM

Ray McLeod. Did that mean they don't like each other? If they're friends, why wouldn't it be more likely that Cain would stay committed. I've been under the impression that McLeod is ours to lose.

I was wondering that too. Anyone have any insight on this?

I think they mean that some still think McCloud is UF bound

and that Cain would follow him if he went. Anyone thinking that either of those guys are going to that dumpster fire at UF are beyond crazy

Re: I think they mean that some still think McCloud is UF bound

Delusional UF beat writers.

The McCloud family has stated many times that Ray Ray goes with his coach father to other teams functions, as his dad is looking out for other players interest. Just last week Ray Ray stated he has nothing but reconfirmed his decision after visiting.

Brad Brownell: Only Larry freaking Shyatt has a WORSE overall winning percentage among Clemson basketball coaches since 1975. Let that sink in. It's Larry Shyatt & then Brad Brownell.

Maybe the reason for so many commit flippers is the lack of understanding of percent logic.

Oct 6, 2014, 8:45 AM

If they see other people being committed at illogical levels like 1000 or 500 or 200 percent, then no wonder 100% commitment doesn't mean anything these days.

Re: New Story: Deon Cain "500 percent" committed after Clemson visit

Oct 6, 2014, 12:28 PM

Throw percentages out the door. McCloud says he is committed. Cain says he is commited. When signing day gets here, and they both send back their paperwork, that means they are both Tigers and we will be glad to have them on campus. McCloud has supposedly already filled out paperwork to enroll in January, and that is a plus. But we all know things can change on a moments notice if a "better deal"comes along. Hopefully, both are solid commits, but signing day will confirm.
