This is important for the board to know before proceeding

I think there's some confusion on what Tnet is upset about...

We could go undefeated for a decade and some people would still find something to bi@#% about.

So what is the real problem old wise one? I will hang up and listen

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I don't think there is a problem... is that so bad?

Sep 15, 2014, 4:41 PM

I think we played very well in Athens until the 4th. I'm sure there are a lot of things Dabo and Chad would take back, just like some of the players wish they could take some things back...

Tough game on the road, and we lost, to a very good UGA team I might add.

You can spin that all you want, but it's the truth.

I think we will give FSU a scare, and maybe even pull it off...

but no, I don't think anything is wrong. That is a TNET myth.

Re: I don't think there is a problem... is that so bad?

Sep 15, 2014, 4:46 PM

We would have been up 17 in the 4th would have been irrelevant had the coaches not been so stubborn.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

this goes both ways...

Sep 15, 2014, 4:48 PM

I agree, and have stated, that our playcalling could have been better... and Chad even said he would do things a little differently...

but to your point about being stubborn...

What did you see UGA doing in the secondary that would lead you to believe "being stubborn" was the only reason we didn't move the ball in the 2nd half?

No, no, york

Sep 15, 2014, 4:50 PM

He checked his crystal ball, and it said we definitely would have been up 40 by the third quarter if it weren't for Chad crapping the bed.

Can't argue with facts.

Never really took any shots in the second half due to poor field position. Now that being said, I believe CM took a page out of the old ball sacks coaching hard headedness. SS often forces the pass and loses. CM forced the run when Georgia was giving him the pass.

I agree with most of that and I want Dabo to succeed. He has been here for 6 years and has learned on the fly. For the most part done a good job. There comes a time tho when in those tough games the Coaches have to dail it up and take the game over. Pertty much what the old ball sack does. Make adjustments at half come out playing to the other teams weakness. Not have a game plan stick with do or die.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

The old ball coach

Sep 15, 2014, 4:52 PM

lost to Tennessee last year.

And half time adjustments? What adjustments did the old ball coach make in the A&M game?

Waiting...

again... I don't understand your point..

Sep 15, 2014, 4:53 PM [ in reply to Re: I don't think there is a problem... is that so bad? ]

I wanted to beat UGA too... We didn't, and there are things we wish we could do over...

but are we talking about losses going back the last several years, or just UGA? I only ask b/c there have also been some big wins and really good coaches moves, both gameplanning and in-game adjustments.

I don't understand why everyone thinks there is a problem all of a sudden...

is it the coot win Saturday?

People are quick to forget the state of our program now

Sep 15, 2014, 4:55 PM

compared to a lonely night in Winston Salem back in 2008.

The fact is that Dabo has navigated this program through one of its most successful 3 year stretches in HISTORY.

I guess we could always go back to 7-5 and the Humanitarian Bowl. Ha.

Yes we get steam rolled at least 2 times every year. You can pertty much tell what's going to happen by the 2 quarter. In those game when nothing is working we still run the same plays.

I think it all goes back to losing 5 str8 to the coots.

Sep 15, 2014, 4:55 PM

The win over UGA by the capons Saturday paired with our spectacular loss to UGA has sent the board into a meltdown in reaction to the fear of a 6-peat.

^^^I think a lot of had our hopes up that this year would be an easy time to end the streak and then saw USC outlast a team that we made look like the '95 Cornhuskers.

thought she could five bomb our coach and live to tell about it.

danny would have eaten her soul, picked up her listless body then piledriven her into the office floor leaving not, but a greasy spot.

Dang it! You got me there!

Five bombs do crack me up tho. I tell em we already know 5 years is their entire history, no need to point it out. It's gonna hurt like hell when we stop the streak! I know it hurt me whenever they stopped our 4-game streaks, FOUR times!

I'm going to have to ask for a John Swofford option to be added to the poll.
