McCloud family reacts to Florida rumors

The rumors surrounding 5-star athlete Ray-Ray McCloud haven't stopped since McCloud's commitment to Clemson late last month, but his father says the rumors are much ado about nothing. What was his message to recruiter Tony Elliott? What is the status of McCloud's paperwork to Clemson? Full Story »

Ray Ray's dad is a coach...he's going to visit other schools

I believe this kid is Solid Orange and will enroll in January.

The ESecPN network won't like this. Thanks Ray-Ray!***

It's really killing them that Clemson is pulling another kid out of "SEC Country"

I really feel bad for the young men and their families that have to go through it. We can't wait to see ya in orange at the top of the hill Ray-Ray!!

This is why kids who are truly committed should be able to..

It doesn't matter what they are saying, wearing, driving, or who they are walking beside. Ray Ray will be a Clemson Tiger with or without the rumor mill milling rumors at full throttle. Rev it up haters b/c we don't care, we are to deep, and got much deeper with 5* Ray Ray McCloud!!!

He may be, but he'd be just as off base as Jim Carey. Ray Ray is Clemson bound. I don't think his Dad would let him switch even if he wanted to.

That's What I'm Talking About----

Its amazing how people can get
paid thousands of dollars or more
to tell lies. These are one of
the kind of groups that give a
beautiful sport a continuous bad image.

Once he makes his verbal commitment, then he should not take other trips. I thought Dabo told all committs this.

Yeah, That should be rule #1

Two things: 1. I love the fact that he and his father denied it, quickly and publicly. 2. I live in Nebraska and went to an all day Husker event last weekend, and recruiting came up. Message, "if you "committ", don't take other visits, or don't "committ"". Tigers and Dabo are all about that. Keep that message strong.

What irks me is that what Newberg is reporting

is completely contradictory to what the McCloud family is saying publicly. So basically Newberg is suggesting the entire family is lying and to trust his word over theirs.

This whole scene bothers me. I'm just going to go by the family's word and stick to that

"We establish no religion in this country, we mandate no belief. Nor will we ever. Church and state are, and must remain, separate." ~Ronald Reagan

If that is true it should inflame the McCloud family more, and I would bet they talk to others about the dishonesty. I hope so, anyway.

Mr. Ray McCloud , Jr. = One More Solid Dad!

I love it when a Dad speaks up and says how it is, because it lets everyone know that this young man has been raised to honor commitment and his word does mean it's a promise that will be kept. Period, end of story! I wish more fathers led by the example being demonstrated here. We'd be living in a better world, IMO. Great job as a Dad Mr. Ray McCloud, Jr.!
