Clemson football season tickets sold out

One factoid missing is the number of possible season tickets. 4500 new and 90% renewal - so what does that really equate to? Also, if they sold out this quickly, why does CLEMSON not consider selling MORE season tickets?

Do we need a bigger stadium??? :) JK

When you consider this year's home schedule vs. last year's.

We usually sell out season tickets esp in year of SC home game.... They have to allot for required visiting team allotments .... Which varies due to conference requirements or requests... And our ever faithful student allotment ...(tongue in cheek there)....

This is awesome though... Lots of schools don't have this luxury in today's world of television broadcasts.... It also shows a loyal fan base and an awesome product!

It shows a good product. Remember IPTAY Donor ticket sales during Tommy Bowden's last years. A winning team will sell more seats than they have to sell. Keep up the good work Dabo, but it will cause ticket prices to go up^p^p^p^^^!!!

Usually season tickets are "sold out" when an individual

game becomes sold out thus making it impossible to sell tickets to every game at once because there is one game missing. Since individual tickets to the SC game are not available, I would assume it is sold out (or nearly sold out).

Also, doing the math if we sold 1000 more than last year and we sold 4500 more than 90% of last year, then last year we sold 35,000 and this year we sold 39,500. These numbers seem low...

Season ticket sales are usually in the 55K range.***

That's what I thought...something's off...***

You're good with numbers

I think the 90% is not 90% of individual tickets renewed, but 90% of the individual IPTAY member accounts wanted to renew their groups of tickets.

That's a good thought, but that would be the same

If we assume the average number of tickets bought per person is the same from last year to this year...

If I work backwards assuming 55k as last year's number, then 93.8% renewed which is "over 90%" but probably more than what was actually intended by that statement or they would have said "over 93%".

I guess RAD needs to charge more ! To fund all the projects and new salaries.

He already is

IPTAY dues increase significantly next year. And before you nitpickers blast this, I know IPTAY isn't the athletic department. But that's where the funds mostly end up.

Why wouldn't this story contain the sentence "Clemson sold

Posted: Jul 9, 2014 3:32 PM

___,______ season tickets this year."?

Posted: Jul 9, 2014 9:51 PM

This is a ploy to create value where it currently doesn't exist. Selling out of season tickets makes IPTAY dues more palatable. Otherwise, why pay increased fees for the same (mostly) crappy games?

It's a simple question, CUAD. How many season tickets have you sold this year?

Enough said....Clemson football season tickets sold out***
