Is it really different enough to warrant a post about it?

So they changed the font?

How do these people get hired???

and it is a little insulting they picked UNC color to use. Though not surprising at all.

looks dark blue to me… similar to what they had***

Some years back I was working for a mobile device company

Posted: May 29, 2014 11:13 AM

I was doing software design for one of their handheld products, and was the low man on the totem pole having just been hired. There was a new initiative in the works to rebrand the company and each division had to send a rep to sit in on the meetings. No one from my group wanted to go and so as the newest member they made me go sit in on these "focus group" style meeting.

Probably one of the most annoying things I've ever been through. A room filled with folks who don't want to be there discussing the slight change in logo and font over and over again. In the end it was all just show as they chose a design we all hated. Monumental waste of time.

Hey, I have an idea: We have one of the most recognizable

logos in all of sports, so let's change it. Let's not only change it, but let's make it look like the Big East's logo! You know, that conference that was picked apart and is now a basketball-only league.

This is one of those occasions when the average person says,

And most everyone else agrees....lol

I was expecting the ACC

to announce a move to the Big-12.

Guess we gotta wait another month or so.

Probably got more $ for changing the font than I have for designing a 10 MGD water treatment plant. Sheesh.

I can just imagine hearing marketing douches inflate the

importance of inconsequential minutia.

"Ya know... when we make these letters narrower, we are really talking about a more efficient front office. Less weight means less waste. I think that will come across to people looking to choose a school based on the font of their conference affiliation."

"I see your point Doosh A. And we really need these letters to lean forward... because I think it illustrates how we are moving FORWARD... ya know... into the FUTURE."

"Yeah because if you are not moving forward and changing things arbitrarily, your customers/fans will eventually abandon you for what's hot."

We spend so much money on having spazz-tards attempt to manipulate us.

Looks like something the Conference USA would use

I bet they paid some marketing firm $Texas to come up with it too.

As posted above, it looks more like the Big East.

Maybe this was part of the deal to get half of the Big East to join the ACC.

Miami, BC, VT, Pitt, Louisville, Syracuse....

We are the Big East now. Largest Big Five conference
