Peake looks to the future

Clemson announced Friday night that the NCAA had granted wide receiver Charone Peake a medical redshirt, good news for a player who still has yet to reach his full potential. Full Story »

Peake was certainly shaping up to be a Jaron Brown type

I guess the coaches go by the stopwatch. Even though Sammy is really fast, we have others, Peake included, who are supposed to be faster. I'll take that any day. To be in the same speed conversation with Sammy and Martavius is a great compliment, IMO.

I hate to say

That this injury will be a blessing in disguise for Peake, but he will be a leader on our offense, a pair pf sur hands for whomever wins the qb job, and a better person because of thid experience. Peake is a great receiver. I belive in him, and I can't wait to see him play again.

If Peake is 100% healthy

Mar 30, 2014, 8:15 AM

expect 55 to 65 catches for 800 to 900 yards! :) my humble guesstimate

Peake will will reach his...

peak this year!

This is the biggest season for Peake

Mar 30, 2014, 12:48 PM

With only 2 years on scholarship remaining, he has very little time left to prove he is NFL worthy. Just as Bryant slowly got up to speed, so has Peake. If he has any desire at all to make it to the big league, he has no choice but to make this a big hear.

Of course, we all have to pray for his health.....

Take care of your health and studies on the field & in class

Everything else will take care of itself ... best wishes in 2014 and the more important future for you and your family!

Peake is the real deal

Mar 30, 2014, 1:11 PM

If he is healthy he will help the transition from the Watkins era greatly.

If Peake has transformed his body like Sammy the following year after his injury, he will be a man among boys when you factor in Peake's speed and size. He already have the hands. He definitely will a primary target for whoever quarterbacking this season.

One things for sure...

Mar 30, 2014, 9:08 PM

if Peake has a good year, it will be his last year. He won't play around with that knee
