game because I didnt see him and wondered if he was literally unable to attend because of getting treatment at that time. I suspect he has been pretty much under their care since the Miami game

I pulled a hamstring....

during the national championship game against Indiana in 1984. It was a Grade II pull.

I actually tweaked it during the semi-final game against UCLA but the game wasn't really all that close so I was able to sit and rest it for a good bit of that game.

I got it treated and rehabbed it as much as I could (rest, ice, compression bandages, anit-inflammatory painkillers, strengthening exercises, lots and lots of stretching, etc) but it still bothered me most of the 1985 season.

Very painful and annoying injury.

hopefully, treatments have advanced a little over the last

30 years or so ;)

That's crazy. It seems that many athletes are slowed down by this injury. I think Adonis is optimistic. I don't see him contributing much on Thursday even if he plays.+

With hanstring injuries, I don't think it has.

They still use the RICE treatment regiment (rest, ice, compression and elevation).

I did use a TENS unit some to reduce pain, increase circulation, stimulate the neves, and promote faster healing but I'm not convinced it provided any real benefit.

I injured mine playing on an astroturf surface rather than a natural grass surface.

I'm a big Dodger fan and it seemed like an epidemic last year. Players can miss months.
