How well does that work if Clemson goes way ahead?

I actually loved when their band played that between plays

and that GOOOOO Georgia Bulldogs! Chant with the band. Feels like fall and football when you hear that. Why would they do away with that for piped in music you can download anytime.

Re: I actually loved when their band played that between plays

Posted: Feb 25, 2014 10:25 PM

They need an excuse for losing the game. The music (which they play every game, just like we do) is just an excuse, albeit a poor one, as to why/how they got that butt kicked. I doubt there will be much difference this year, other than we whip that butts in Athens rather than at the real "Death Valley" which is in Clemson.

Re: I actually loved when their band played that between plays

Posted: Feb 26, 2014 7:12 AM

Wait so LSU isn't the real Death Valley?
;)

Re: I actually loved when their band played that between plays

Posted: Feb 26, 2014 7:33 AM

No. We were the original football stadium that was referred to as "Death Valley". LSU established their name after we did. Theirs was "Deaf Valley" originally.

To do that, they'd have to kick two-thirds of the fans out of Sanford stadium.

Bub

We'll take care of that in the 3rd quarter.

Posted: Feb 25, 2014 11:14 PM

THUGA fans be gone and it will look like Winston-Salem.

Oh so that's why they lost.

Those SEC rules are just so tough. And last time I checked SEC rules are only for SEC games. Idiots.

There's something in these hills.

We start winning on the field and the conference takes a national title home, now they start looking into the music we play.

Hey, whatever works... UGA you'll get yours soon enough, regardless of what music you play.

GO TIGERS!

Re: FB Update: Georgia to pump up music against Clemson

Posted: Feb 25, 2014 10:20 AM

The article says they will be "able to utilize songs and music up until the point when the quarterback gets over the ball." Made me wonder - who enforces these kind of rules? It doesn't seem like something the refs could throw a flag for. Not singling out UGA, but with all the classy teams in the SEC, it wouldn't surprise me to see some of them take advantage in games against non-SEC teams. What's the worst that would happen, a fine from the league office.

Does our QB ever get over center?
Me thinks Saban helped write that rule?

I am sure this will really impede our ability to to signal plays in from the side line.

Re: FB Update: Georgia to pump up music against Clemson

Don't you guys realize piping music in between plays (which isn't even done much in DV) was probably worth at least 7 points for the UGA game?

If that Georgia DB hadn't been trying to get funky with it 10 seconds prior, there's almost no chance Sammy bulldozes him and runs another 70 yards for a touchdown.

Auburn was like a freakin concert

Posted: Feb 25, 2014 12:55 PM

I'm not sure what the previous SEC rule was. Auburn seemed to play music all the time. In fact I remember saying the next season that they stole "All In" and we stole their playlist.

I guess they thought their OL was too

When is the last time Clemson won a true road game at a stadium anywhere near as big as UGA's, let alone bigger? serious question

Have never been to a game they allowed artificial noise makers in the stadium.

But the big question is

Posted: Feb 25, 2014 1:13 PM

Will their fans be allowed to run onto the field if they win, or lose(for idiot announcers)?

This is just them trying to make excuses

[1]
Posted: Feb 25, 2014 1:18 PM

Clemson plays less piped- in music than most places, because we actually let our band play.

We have been to the Carrier Dome; we have

we are talking about UGAg fans. Most of them aren't the sharpest knives in the drawer.

Re: FB Update: Georgia to pump up music against Clemson

Posted: Feb 25, 2014 2:47 PM

The question is will they be able to play music for the next 10 seconds while the qb is over the ball waiting for the defense to substitute. That would seem logical that they could play travelling music for the d substitutes.

there will be a four headed monster coming at CU. they better be "too deep" with Gurley, Marshall, Chubb, Michel pounding them. that tiger d will be dragging in the 4th qter.

as opposed to what clemson has......................

Posted: Feb 26, 2014 11:20 AM

Interesting.......Mason threw for over 900 yards (5tds/3) in two starts and two clean ups. In his very 1st start he lead his offense in a 21 pt comeback win over GaTech. In his 2nd start he was a dropped pass away from his 2nd come from behind win. We do have a better QB on the roster but this is Mason's year. Mason will be the most experienced starter on the field come August.

your best ever couldn't beat Vandy nor us

Posted: Feb 25, 2014 8:36 PM

people can no longer afford them, they bring in new teams from far away into the conferences and destroy regional rivalries and these admin wonder why attendance is declining. They think piped in music will solve the problem. The SEC has these big loud bands that play great chants like the "Gator chomp" between plays and they want piped in music. Keep destroying the pageantry of college football. Stupid.

We will have the better team

Posted: Feb 25, 2014 8:48 PM

That is all that matters. Clemson will beat another SEC team in the opener for a third straight year. Lol , but don't stop the music because everyone liles to dance.

UGA will have the better team...

Re: No

Like last year?

Re: No

Posted: Mar 3, 2014 1:36 AM

I don't know why I'm on this article but I am. And I must get my two cents in. UGA is losing multiple offensive lineman while Clemson returns all of their dominant defensive lineman. Your secondary will still blow, and our receivers will still be talented. Our RB will be young but more talented, and the only question mark is our OL. No matter what QB we have, he will be a stud. What do you have? Oh I forgot, Todd Gurley counts as 11 players

Re: No

Posted: Mar 3, 2014 2:50 PM

seriously? clem loses the entire right side of your oline meanwhile Morris is hoping battle can handle the left tackle spot. your dline returns intact but gave up 545 yards of offense to UGA last season. Our secondary is our weakness but Pruitt coaches the dbacks so look for improvement.....your WRs have little experience and no Watkins or Hopkins type talent on the roster. LOL @ your RB's being more talented.....and all your QB's being studs......that's just delusional. No mention of your kicking game losses.....Cu will be breaking in a new PK and long sanpper.

Re: No

THUGA whatcha gonna do when the Athens PD comes for you?

I think the bigger question is....

Posted: Feb 26, 2014 7:36 AM

will UGA use the seizure inducing flashing lights. Now that was a real pathetic attempt at an advantage. UGA will beat you guys like a rented mule once they get you between the hedges.

Have you ever rented a mule? did you beat that mule?

A mule will kick the crap out of a dog

Re: FB Update: Georgia to pump up music against Clemson

Posted: Feb 26, 2014 8:39 AM

I wish Clemson would stop doing it or at-least not as much.

I love the bands and that's part of college football to me more so than piped in music.

Not gonna lie......Dead Valley noise caused communication...

Posted: Feb 26, 2014 10:47 AM

problems for GA's offense the entire game. Your rookie QB's will expierence the same atmosphere come August. To tell you the truth I didn't even know we had a rule prohibiting this......must have changed the ruling after our black-out game with Auburn in 2007.

Rookie QBs?

Posted: Feb 26, 2014 11:54 AM

You know Stoudt is a senior, right?

Re: Rookie QBs?

Posted: Mar 3, 2014 2:51 PM

Yes academically.........a rookie on the playing field. Has he started a game in his career?

Re: Rookie QBs?

Posted: Mar 3, 2014 11:08 PM

Nahh but he's played behind the best OC in the game and plays on a 7th ranked team. What about your team? Haven't heard BoBo's name lol mentioned any where at all.

yeah

Posted: Feb 27, 2014 12:09 AM

''Dead Valley'' is a way better stadium then that puppy graveyard you call a stadium... stoudt (and kelly) has been in this program 4 and 2 yrs respectively and don't sleep on our RB's.. and you're forgetting about our D (especially our front 7).... in the end we will put another ''tombstone'' inside that graveyard...

Re: yeah

Posted: Mar 3, 2014 2:55 PM

Did you not lose 2 starting LBers in Shuey and Christian? How can you return your front 7 if two have run out of eligibility?

Re: yeah

Posted: Mar 3, 2014 11:19 PM

Let us know who you possibly have that will slow down Beasley. He's the #1 pass rusher this fall. Which of the 3 starting freshmen OL will block Big Beaz?

Ignore your glaring problems mutt. Girle will struggle maybe break another couple on missed assignments. That's all he had against us then put himself out on celebrating lol.

You're far from being where we left off. You were down 3 TD's to a miserable GT team and eeked it out in OT then were drubbed by a bad Nebraska team in an empty Gator Bowl. See a difference in pattern?
