Is that still the astroturf type garbage around the plate or is it field turf?

Thanks in advance. Regardless of what it is it looks much better than our old faded version. Looks closer to grass color.

They have it due to that being such a high traffic area.

FSU has field turf instead of the astro turf it blends much better with the grass....

Trying to keep the grass around the plate in top shape with countless games and practices every spring is difficult, thus the turf. It also acts as a erosion barrier from the home plate skin area. Many schools are going to this style now to upgrade the area most seen on tv.

Oh I agree with putting something not grass there I just wish we would have done Field Turf.

I agree. I don't care for all that block lettering either. Why did we not go with the simple "C" logo we use in baseball. Only other change I would make is center and raise the scoreboard and do some brick around it.
