Two things I got from this article....

Dec 16, 2013, 10:20 AM

One, how in the world, with all the support they are given, are some athletes not even able to complete SIX credit hours in a semester??? That's two classes....two.

Second, looks like yet again our OL is at least a "concern" going into next year. I think our OL has played better than it gets credit for at times over the last 2 seasons, but it seems like every single year it's at least a "concern" going into the next season. We've got to build some depth there!!

Six hours !?!?!?!

When did that rule change?

When I was a student-athlete, you had to take and pass a minimum of twelve hours each sememter in order to maintain your academic eligibility.

You have to take 12 to be full time, not pass 12

although, I would think that you would be put on probation with the University (maybe that doesn't apply to athletes).

It's based on cumulative GPA and....

the percentage of course work completed toward a degree.

No...that's not what he said.....

You have to take a minimum of twelve hours to be categorized as a full-time student but you apparently only have to pass six of the twelve in order to maintain your eligibility.
