Swinney talks about Deshaun Watson

Because of a change in NCAA legislation, coaches are allowed to talk about recruits who sign financial aid agreements, and Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney said Tuesday that 2014 quarterback signee Deshaun Watson is going to be a great player for Tigers. Full Story »

When will anyone pressure Dabo to make some comments on thoughts for QB tryouts next spring? Just would like to know what's on his mind.

I really hope that Watson will be ok with a red shirt. But I also hope that every player on our Tiger team will have to compete for every job at every position we have. And QB is no different. If Watson competes for the QB job and wins it out right. I hope he will be the starter. But but but, that has to also mean that he knows the play book as well or better if possible than Cole or Chad. I think that will be when the problems will come in with Watson. Unless he already has a play book to study, and I don't think he does.

Would expect that he would say "I'm worried about the rest of this season. Not what quarterback tryouts are gonna look like next spring" Which is exactly what he should do. Need to worry about the citadel the coots and bowl game before that!

together. I'll admit that I was one of the skeptics when he got the job, but he's building us up to be a program instead of an occasional flash in the pan.
