Chad Kelly thankful for Saturday's first hit

Most college quarterbacks don’t thank the opposing defense for tackling them; however, Chad Kelly isn’t like most quarterbacks. Full Story »

Chad Kelly throwing motion

Did anybody else think his throwing mechanics where strange? Long wind up and side arm release. It would have been nice to see more

Side arm release probably was Stoudt, I believe. I can't say I noticed Kelly's release, but Stoudt's I did notice, and it is a bit of a side-arm motion. It was effective, though. He did a great job moving us right down the field and scoring a TD.

Re: I noticed the sidearm as well. Was not impressed.***

Give Swag a break!! he is new and coming off an injury

Morris didn't have enough one on one time with him to work on his throwing mechanics perhaps. He'll be just fine.

If you remember Boyd look awful the first few times (during kyle parker era). He couldn't hit anything and tried to scramble but had no speed to do so. Look how he turned out?

Cole also didn't look like D1 QB the first few times he was given the helm, he looked out of sorts and too lean. Last I see he is looking great.

Playing him after only 4 months is wrong, IMO

Look at all the criticism heaped on Washington for playing RG3 and it was 8 months after his knee surgery. 4 months is too soon. I know swag wants to play badly, but it's the coach's job to be the "adult" in this situation and say NO to the kid. It's in Kelly's best interest to sit and recover from surgery. There'll be many more games in his career. Dont take a chance on that for some third string duty in a blow out.

same injury? you could probably take it up with his doctors

if they care to discuss his case file.

don't forget cooper. he played also.

the doctors have to clear them, the coaches don't.

was RG3 the adult in the washinton situation?

It's nice to see more than
