Stop perpetuating conference talk. The UGA game was....

Sep 6, 2013, 1:40 PM

a win for CLEMSON and no one else. Don't really care about other teams performance.

Sep 6, 2013, 1:51 PM

So over the conference story line. Just drop it already.

I pull for Clemson, to hell with everyone else. I could care less what conference UGA is in. They could be in WAC for all I care. They're a #### good football team, and we beat them.

Enough of the conference flag waving. Stop it already!!

be upset if Clemson went undefeated against all the nobodies YOU want the ACC to be, beat UGA/USuCk, then got locked outside the MNC, because of how weak the ACC is?

Wake up or at least act like you know what's up.

other play Bama last year was because Ohio St was on probation.

Last I checked Ohio St, Bama, and Oregon are ahead of us.
Stanford and Michigan will also be in the picture. Another point is the SEC will make a push soon as they start playing each other. If UsuCk don't live up to their ranking all we have is UGA week 1 without a strong ACC showing.

We can't change the lackluster competition in the ACC. That's why it's not worth talking about or claiming membership in.

Re: Would you "Only care about Clemson" crowd

Sep 6, 2013, 6:49 PM [ in reply to Would you "Only care about Clemson" crowd ]

I agree. Conference perception hurt the Big East in terms of Football. The ACC is considered inferior to the SEC, BIG 10, PAC-12, and BIG 12 and that perception was apparent in Clemson and FSU's BCS rankings last season.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

A win by anyone we beat or lose to helps our rankings.... if we make it to the NC, the Orange or another BCS bowl everyone in the conference profits... I want the ACC to have 2 teams in the BCS.... more money in our pockets. I hope one of them is us! :)
I pull for ACC teams most of the time... except UNC hardly ever.

Sep 6, 2013, 2:43 PM [ in reply to Stop perpetuating conference talk. The UGA game was.... ]

In the new world of billion dollar TV contracts for CFB winning games like this is good for not just us, but the ACC as well, which in turn will benefit us by receiving more money from larger TV contracts in the future.

Time to pull for Miami next week. And FSU when they play UF no matter how much I hate both teams. For Clemson's sake you should care about other teams performances.

Cannot figure out how a few select folks do not understand this concept.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

no. we understand. it's the pulling for the conference thing

Sep 6, 2013, 2:58 PM

that we don't like. do they (acc teams) need to get better, HE** YES, do we have to pull for them, HE** NO. can't you see a little difference there? come on, it's not rocket science. we know they need to improve, BUT WE AIN'T GOT TO PULL FOR THEM!

military_donation.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

am pulling for them, or not, HAS NO CONSEQUENCE WHATSOEVER! please tell me where i am wrong in this theory. i have been to 1(ONE) count'em 1, game involving an acc team other than clemson (without us being in it) and that was an old kick-off classic game in the meadowlands between nc state and iowa, and to my chagrin, my kids and i both hollered for the acc , but that was because we sat 1 aisle over from the iowa band and they had already tee'd me off with their antics.

Sep 7, 2013, 12:53 AM

Sugar.

Do you watch any games other than when Clemson plays? BCS Bowls? When you do you must chose a team you prefer to win. It's nature to do so.

I for one could careless about FLA, due to that slimy coach of theirs, to the point I will root for any team on their schedule not named USuCk or UGA. This week's bonus is a win by Miami makes beating Miami a quality win for FSU/GT/Us, so heck yeah I'm pulling for the Canes tomorrow.

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I don't understand why i HAVE to pull for the ACC

Sep 6, 2013, 7:12 PM [ in reply to no. we understand. it's the pulling for the conference thing ]

People say you should pull for your conference... but ACC teams are going to either win or lose football games whether I cheer for them on my couch or not..

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

GO TIGERS

A few select folks?

Sep 6, 2013, 3:53 PM [ in reply to You must have the IQ of Forrest Gump ]

This board is rampant with people who ignorantly think that by pulling against the rest of our conference it makes them a better Tiger fan. I don't like any of the other ACC conference schools either and obviously want to beat everyone on our schedule, but it ENHANCES Clemson's record to beat quality opponents whether they be in the ACC or any other conference. I just don't get this attitude that a lot of folks have where they don't want any of our ACC brethren to win inter-conference games. Good luck trying to get through to them.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Probably non-clemson grads....

football fan and have no preference throughout any games but Clemson games I know they are lying.

Again, it is nature to pull for one team or another, no matter the impact.

Great players come to play in big games and the better our competition is week in and week out, the bigger the # of stud players are interested in Clemson. More light is shed on the SEC Coaches' lies during recruiting.

Look at Chad's statement on recruits calling in after last weeks win, genius.

Got to say it even though it will do no good! Good gosh grow up. The other teams being better means more money for Clemson. Can't you figure that out,or do you have to be hit over the head. .? You think Scar got better because of the school, no they joined the money and if we don't ride the wave, we will be Wake Forest in a few years. Like I said, deaf ears, but I feel better anyway. Lol.
