#1 WR in FL for a reason...

Jul 3, 2013, 7:52 AM

This kid has awesome ball skills, route running and acceleration. This is my favorite WR by far. He will be able to help out instantly on special teams. I think we're looking at the next Sammy, with the possibility of being much better than advertised.

This kid will raise any QB's statistics and rating. He has Nuk and Sammy traits. Great hands, concentration/clutch catches, breakaway speed, ability to make people miss after catches. I'd like to see this kid return one for a touchdown the very first time he fields the ball on the special team during practice at Clemson, and the rest would be in the history books. Super Athlete!! Coach Dabo & Morris are going to have fun using this kid in their offense scheme. WOW!!

Welcome, Artavis! Now if we could get Quinn too,

Jul 3, 2013, 8:09 AM

Our WR class would be just be an embarrassment of riches. Does anyone know if we're taking another one? I think we would, but I'm not sure...

As soon as he announced some typical reporter stated he bets that this will not be the last we hear of Tay Scott's recruitment. Meaning he will be looking around, etc.

And surprisingly this reporter wasn't Neibhur or Carvell of the AJC.

Well, people don't usually stop

Jul 3, 2013, 8:39 AM

There's no rule saying when teams stop recruiting guys they want, even after they've committed. Look at the guys we flipped from NC State earlier in the year. You're only safe from a team trying to get your guy after that team has filled that need with another player. And you're not REALLY safe until the player signs their LOI to Clemson.

My question still stands though: are we taking another WR?

To answer your question,

Jul 3, 2013, 9:15 AM [ in reply to Welcome, Artavis! Now if we could get Quinn too, ]

I know that Quinn has become friends with Demarre Kitt AND Artavis Scott, so.......I wouldn't be surprised if we steal him out of LA. But, you better believe LSU's bagman is going to lay it all on the line to sign him. It won't be easy.

Screw Calford.

True, but three words: fourth and sixteen.***

Yes we will take another receiver but only one more. We will still recruit several wide receivers in case someone decommits or gets into trouble, but if everything goes as planned then we will only accept one more. Hopefully we can pick up Quinn as our last receiver.

Clemson, Fans, Team & Death Valley welcome you Artavis!

This guy is sick. He reminds me of Vick wearing #7 and a little Chansi Stucky. I'd think its safe to say our return game has been solidified the next several years. I like a guy who doesn't dance around and just jets upfield. What a pick up by Dabs & Company.

Beat the MESS out of THUGA!

Based on the interviews i've seen

Jul 3, 2013, 11:24 AM

He seems like a well rounded, respectful dude. Welcome to Clemson.

Any issues/concerns academically?

Jul 3, 2013, 1:17 PM

Got a friend that is a Michigan fan and said they really wanted him badly but there was fear he would not qualify and they started backing off and took a commit from another 3-star WR which led to Scott dropping them from consideration. Just wondered if there was concern there - unless Michigan is harder to get in than here. I hope there's no concern there because kid looks great and can't wait to see him suited up in orange.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Nah ... He is done. Hes a Tiger...

Jul 3, 2013, 1:18 PM

Read his statement. What you really meant was others wont stop recruiting and begging his services. Especially the sec since half of that conference lost out on him...LOL
