Paul Johnson is a good football coach.

I joke about him being a caveman, but the guy is a good coach who seems to geniunely care about his players.

He is always a gracious competitor. If he wins he is courteous and if he loses he always acts like a good sport.

Old Ball Snack could learn a thing or two from CPJ.

Maybe you are right. I've never had that impression but maybe you see something I don't

CPJ was a member of our church in ATL

The guy always has a sour look on his face, but is one of the nicest and most gracious folks you'll ever meet. He is hard as nails on the football field, and his sour look doesn't help the impression, but the guy is salt of the earth.

And I admire the fact that he honestly doesn't care what anyone thinks of him. I sometimes wish I could be more like that myself...

Yeah I suspect that is why I think that.

He's a perfect fit at GT

A unique offensive philosophy for a unique setting. And definitely an acquired taste. And he'll have just enough success there to keep the fans happy and stay for a long time. There are worse things in life than going somewhere around 8-4/9-3 every single year - with the occasional outstanding and bad seasons. Wouldn't work at Clemson, but at GT, that will do just fine.

I will say that when their offense is firing on all cylinders, it is a thing of beauty to watch. Oddly, he always seems to figure out how to get it running right against us.
