Aug 29, 2012, 11:06 AM

we might be better at OL then we have been since we had the Fry brothers.

Dustin and Roman were not brothers.

Aug 29, 2012, 11:23 AM

If I remember correctly, Dustin was from Summerville and Roman was from the midwest.

Roman was from Ohio. Had the privilege of his dad being my high school basketball coach.

Re: Front Page Story: Tiger Tidbits - Auburn Edition

Aug 29, 2012, 11:07 AM

so we've built OL depth but we are having little luck signing guys now for down the road at OL. Let's just bring in more W/r's. (How did that work out for Bowden). We've got to get some consistency in OL recruiting and development

badge-donor-05yr.jpgringofhonor-74tiger.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I'm not understanding your comment

Aug 29, 2012, 11:16 AM

a majority of our OL is Fr and Soph. We are still trying to bring in 3 OL this year. I read that the past 3 years we brought in 4-5 OL every year. If we get Droogsma (looking very good for us) and Crowder (Battle between UGA and us) then we'll be right on target for getting at least 3 a year.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Plus the recruiting board shows we have interest in a UF

Aug 29, 2012, 11:31 AM

de-committment. Just get the foot in the door and draw that attention!

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

We were high on Outlaw and lost him to UF

Aug 29, 2012, 11:34 AM

hopefully we can get him back on campus for a visit. he's a great talent. I still believe that Droogsma and Crowder are more likely to come and I expect to get them unless something strange happens.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

We have focused on OL heavily every year under Dabo.

Aug 29, 2012, 1:59 PM [ in reply to Re: Front Page Story: Tiger Tidbits - Auburn Edition ]

We cannot go back and un-do the turmoil created by the coaching change that resulted in our 12-player recruiting class in 2009 ... we also cannot mask the fact that we were really counting on JK Jay and he got hurt. But, since that time, it's hard to make a valid arguement for us not concentrating on bringing in numbers on the OL in recruiting.

2009
JK Jay
Brandon Thomas

2010
David Beasley
Kalon Davis
Gifford Timothy
Reid Webster

2011
Shaq Anthony
Isaiah Battle
Ryan Norton
Spencer Region
Joe Gore (from DE)
Jerome Maybank (maybe)

2012
Patrick Destefano
Jay Gillermo
Oliver Jones
DJ Reader (maybe)

2013
Maverick Morris
Austin Droogsma ??
one more ??

badge-donor-15yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Wish we could add Eric McClain to that list too.

Aug 29, 2012, 3:09 PM

I really think he would help

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Please don't confuse the dumpers with facts.

Aug 30, 2012, 5:46 AM [ in reply to We have focused on OL heavily every year under Dabo. ]

It hurts their "Dabo doesn't know what he's doing" argument.

Aug 29, 2012, 4:12 PM [ in reply to Re: Front Page Story: Tiger Tidbits - Auburn Edition ]

ies. JK JAY being one of them.

I think that has hurt depth for a few years.

Why does Tajh have "TDP" tattooed on his arm?

Aug 29, 2012, 12:01 PM

Didn't realize he and Terry Don were so close.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Ha ha ha...

Aug 29, 2012, 12:07 PM

I mentioned that a while back. Apparently he has "TOP" on one arm and "GUN" on the other. I figured he was just very sad about the TDP retirement news :)

GO TIGERS!!!!!!

and Alabama was playing football.

I hope that never happens again.

Coach Swinney was watching that game as a Clemson Asst

Aug 29, 2012, 1:01 PM

coach......I know it looked as bad from the side of the field as did to everyone else looking on from the stands and on tv.

Hopefully that game and the OB debacle will resonate strong enough in his memory that he'll never let it happen again.

So are both teams wearing their home jerseys?

Aug 29, 2012, 2:50 PM

Per the article:

I know a lot of people have asked, so in case you didn’t know,Clemson is the visitor[ for Saturday’s game. Supposedly, the folks at Chick-fil-A have asked that Auburn wear blue for the game and that Clemson wear their orange jerseys.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Technically we're wearing orange away jerseys***
