“Coach Johnson was very nice about it. He said he didn’t want to leave Junior hanging in any way. He said he would call Central Florida on Junior’s behalf"

This crying about taking time, when was the last test given ? Early Dec or late Nov ?

Seems like an ACC school did the heads up thing, told him he didn't qualify and offered help to get him in a school they know has lower standards. I know we hate old puss face around here, but he did far More than any SEC school would have done. They would have left waiting by the fax machine on signing day or told him to wait till next year.

It is like when Coach K. does some really good charitable

without publicity (which he does all the time). It really throws sand in the hate machine gear box. ;)

Not as bad as Dwight Jones the day before***

he was arrested for possession which put him in serious jeopardy with CU. Then he decided to take an official visit to UT during our big recruiting weekend. Dabo told him to make a choice...and he did.

Lane blew off Dabo and Clemson on the big recruiting

weekend for commits and non-commits and visited Tennessee. He thought he was going to play Dabo and maybe become a big signing day surprise for Tennessee or have both Ut and Clemson in his back pocket while he created some signing day drama and attention for himself. We rained on that parade.
