I'll be the first to admit. During and after Wayne's freshman year I made a post saying nothing about Wayne really wowed me. Boy was I wrong, he still doesn't wow you with lights out speed or quickness but man he has so much toughness and a physical approach about him along with above avg speed. I don't really recall a Clemson back in the last twenty years like him in that aspect. He is a true old school 20-30 carry type running back.

Ate crow myself. I thought Wayne was a weak link. Thought he ran too high. Thought he went down too easy. Glad he shut me the hell up. I think his toughness and violent running style make up for some of his other deficiencies. Toughness is a really underrated quality in RBs. There are so many different ways for an RB to get hurt with how much contact they take. The fact that Wayne can have as much production as he can while staying relatively healthy shouldn't be understated.

After the FSU game last year, I started putting him in another level in my mind. He is on the same level of any RB that has ever come through Clemson (not as fast as spiller but just as valuable). I look for the kid to have another breakout year.
