Leaving him in to finish would have probably meant throwing 110+ pitches. As it stands he took him out at 95.

I'm sure Lee and See know how many pitches is too many.

Lovorn is not a "young arm". he's graduate and almost certainly won't return next year. but we may well need him in the post season and he's not had much work this year. he needed the work.
