Generally, what you did lately is always going to be the deciding factor.
I won't lose a lot of sleep whether we get into the NIT or not at this point, but we certainly did enough to "deserve it" when we beat Duke, Louisville, Syracuse and Miami during our hot streak.
If we'd done the same thing to end the season we'd be considered one of the most appealing stories of the year.

time will be better spent relearning fundamentals, maybe coaches taking a few seminars on basic coaching stratagems .... ie how to prevent the other team from coming back when your team is up 18 points with 8 minutes let ... throwing the ball in 101 ... etc

Only thing that could possibly top that is that Brownell resigns. However, that ain't happening, it would take way more honor and integrity than he possess. Hurry up 2020 maybe we can get a real coach then!
