The cop at the beginning and one of the thieves (Wet Bandits) are the same actor. Subtle.

It’s funny the budgets were so low back then they thought we were too stupid to notice.

Now if they did that they would try to set it up like he was there to case the place. They have to be more sophisticated with kids nowadays.

Not the same guy. Joe Pesci played the crook. Vic Cole played the cop.

So the same guy was both protecting and robbing the "Uthe".

You just stumbled upon one of the biggest movie goofups of all time.

This used to happen all the time in Andy Griffith, such as Sam the Butcher playing numerous characters and Uncle Jessie coming to town with his hillbilly nephews but Bo and Luke were nowhere to be seen, but you would expect more from a full length Christmas movie classic.

And if you look closely you will notice that Joe Burrow looks just like a grown up Macaulay Culkin.

I've been wondering a long time who Burrow reminds me of. You're right - a grown up M. Culkin - only a bulked up version. Not the real 110-pound adult Culkin.

If pigs are so smart, why do 66% of them use weak and inferior materials during construction?

They did that one purpose.

Even before the media jumped on bored and made it obvious, people were secretly trying to make cops looks like criminals.

Now you know.....

neighbor in the church, the old man, why wouldn't he simply tell him that two thieves planned to rob his house later that night? Or to just call the police? He knew exactly when they would be there. For a smart kid, he wasn't very bright.

I think they meant it for a message.***

You should try listening to the audio from the movie instead of blasting .38 Special over it.

Uummm yeaaahhhh.....?...

...you DO realize the "wet bandit" guy was impersonating a cop so he could case the joint...right??
The cop's gold tooth twinkling for Kevin? Kevin later remembering the twinkling tooth?...right?

Or are you trying to pull some of that ironic nothing humor that many times crops up on these boards?
