I thought cutigers . com was rivals. Was confused.
I go to rivals, clemson class is 2, cutigers, 5 (scout.com) ,
did not cutigers not used to use rivals rankings?

cutigers is Scout
tigerillustrated is Rivals

Scout has us 5
Rivals has us 2
ESPN has us 3
247sports has us 2

No, cutigers has always been Scout affiliated.
Tiger Illustrated has the Rivals affiliation (unless something changed recently).

that all of those websites have one focus selling access. None of them have made a living recruiting players, evaluating players, or coaching. One thing I have noticed is teams with a large fan base or a large membership to a website always have their lesser recruits upgraded after committing to those schools. You never see a 2* stay a 2* after committing to those schools.

The coaches evaluate the players and the writers give them ratings. That's the way it is and that's the way it's gonna stay.

If a coach gave star rankings half the players would be pizzed at the coaches for ranking them lower than they believe they deserve. The writers rate player according to which programs recruit them.

If a kid grows up a Clemson fan and everyone knows it he is apt not to get recruited by many other schools. That happens all the time with some of the players.
