ever for bama..it earned them an extra weak to heal.. a home field game as a 4 seed..whats not to love about this broken system if you are an sec team

and if Wisonsin had won, they'd be at home watching the CFP. They got lucky, but they deserve to be ahead of Ohio St. Also, one reason they were sitting at home is because Alabama is west of Georgia. That seems random and irrelevant. They were unlucky in that respect that they didn't get a chance to avenge their loss like Georgia did. I'm as tired of Bama as anybody, but people get way too infatuated with conference championships. They can be very arbitrary and not really indicative of an entire season

healthy, your team is not at risk for further injury or committed to the grind and practice associated with a specific opponent, what coach would not welcome an extra week for his team to decompress after a long season?
If Alabama is the 4th best team in the land after playing just 12 games, then does Wisconsin get in at 12-0 if their season ended a week ago?
A lot at risk in the 13th game, one that Alabama did not earn on the field.

New Orleans will choose sides and if they choose the regional footprint, landscape and kinship of the SEC as their favorite, it will be noticeable and huge.

well within the 6 hour circle talked about in recruiting.
A quick look shows a dozen or so Louisiana players on Alabama's roster, more from Mississippi and of course Alabama, surrounding areas, which makes it their back yard.
Glad we're playing, no doubt, but it seems a tough draw considering some things.

Plus an extra week for coaches to watch film and game plan, because they knew if they got in they'd probably be facing Clemson.
