We did. If you don’t remember it is because not many now living do. 1939 beat BC.

Clemson's very first bowl win and very first win over an AP ranked team.

And, the link to Notre Dame in that one was that the BC coach Frank Leahy left to become coach at Notre Dame. Incidentally the O'Rourke-McFadden Trophy between BC & Clemson is named after BC's QB (who had only 3 career losses) and Clemson's all-world Banks McFadden, the MVP of that game
