With the Thursday Ga. Tech game kicking off of the ACC

Network in August, any ideas on who is going to get hired on for football coverage? Wes Durham is already slated as a football play-by-play along with his and Mark Packer's morning show, but I'm guessing they'll have several games a week to do like Raycom did, plus studio shows. If we're not careful we could get stuck with Mark May.

Haven't heard much overall but wondering who people think will be the faces and voices of the ACC with this thing. This is the latest piece I've seen on it...

Kind of fun to think about. I hope they pick people that have a history with the ACC. What are the thoughts on guys like Beamer and Paul Johnson?

I was just thinking that!

I wonder what former coaches they could bring on to be on the new tv station.

Mark used to make me furious about ten years ago when he made snide comments about us - especially our offensive line. Later, I could look back and see that there was some truth in what he said (my orange colored glasses). So, I have mellowed somewaht on him because:

1. He at times had a more realistic view than I did
2. Those announcers are at times paid to share opposing opinions just to keep the conversastion going
3. He usually made Lou Holtz look stupid - although Lou didn't need much help in that department

I can think of worse announcers that Mark May. Many of them are on CBS.
