With all the talk of playing in cold weather

It's got me thinking of when many of us were kids. You played football with the same gear in the heat and the cold, pads, jersey and britches. The most fun was sandlot in the rain or snow with nothing but a sweat shirt and jeans.

Todays players have gear we never dreamed of, not to mention sideline heaters. I'm not trying to be the cranky old man I am, just pointing out whatever the weather is, players can play. It's really just the playing surface and the feel of the ball.

So talking heads, southern teams can play in the cold.
