With all the "how to get in the tournament" talk

Feb 23, 2020, 5:20 AM

I thought this was an interesting look. Take it for what it's worth, which is probably not much. It says we have a 1% chance at an automatic bid and a 11% chance at an at large. What's interesting is seeing all the teams that have better odds than us according to this. I guess you can remove all of the teams that have identical odds when it comes to an automatic bid vs an at large because a lot of those teams will cancel out the others in their league. After that, it puts us on par with Minnesota and Miami, which is even worse news since we have a loss to both of those teams.

And according to this site (before yesterdays game) we were predicted to be a 7 seed in the NIT

There is an extremely narrow path to the tourney

that would require an unprecedented conference winning streak or winning the ACCT. The odds are low. For this particular team, the NIT would be a positive, unlike last year
